Consumer Product Development
(CPD): Rōbhatah's Consumer Product Development (CPD) group develops consumer robots for mass
markets. The group will work towards acquiring strong brands in the various subcategories of the market.
Robots for research:
Rōbhatah's market entry
products, the humanoid
Manus-I , the biped Manus-TLR and the
Robo Soccer system are specifically made with the needs of the researchers in mind to help them jumpstart useful research work without having to about unnecessary overheads. The robotic research platforms consist of robots with an adequate number of
sensors, software and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for reading values and programming mathematical
models, documentation and sample applications. The extensive utilities combined with attractive pricing schemes will provide universities and other research institutions the value they seek.
Robots for homes:
The domestic consumer's concerns regarding a robotic product for homes can be addressed under two heading -the value a product has for the consumer, and its
cost. The Consumer Product Development group's focus will be to maximize the
value of the product while minimizing its cost, striking a balance along the
way. Just like a team of men complete tiring tasks more efficiently than a single man, co-operative robotics (multiple robots intelligently operating as a team to augment the efficiency with which a particular task is done) too will find special applications.
Rōbhatah has years of research experience in multi-agent systems and co-operative robotics, and will be able to cater to this niche market.
Robotics for healthcare:
Robotics has found profound applications in the medical and healthcare industry. This is one industry where precision and undivided attention is required around the
clock, Human actions are subject to fatigue and boredom and are often erroneous. Medical and healthcare applications cannot afford errors and it crucial that smart mechanisms be developed that reduce human errors and deliver very high levels of accuracy.
Robots equipped with adequate sensors can monitor a person around the clock; assist a surgeon with flawless operating ability and replace pretty much all the monotonous and boring jobs that are otherwise done by humans. |
